Ở IBD, tiếng Anh là nền tảng thiết yếu cho việc học tập của sinh viên. Tất cả các môn học, chứng chỉ đều hoàn toàn chỉ sử dụng tiếng Anh. Do đó, việc làm chủ được môn ngoại ngữ này là cực kỳ cấp bách, đặc biệt là trong kĩ năng giao tiếp khi mà giáo viên của IBD phần lớn là người nước ngoài. Để nâng cao trình độ tiếng Anh, ta có rất nhiều những biện pháp học hay nhưng cũng không thiếu những cách dở.Và một trong số những phương pháp mà ta thường thấy nhất ở sinh viên chính là việc sử dụng tiếng Việt trong các giờ tiếng Anh. Vậy việc này có nguyên nhân từ đâu, ảnh hưởng như thể nào đến việc học của sinh viên, ta có nên tiếp tục sử dụng hay hạn chế nó,đó chính là điều mà nhóm chúng tôi muốn tìm hiểu.
