Nghiên cứu nhằm cung cấp cái nhìn tổng thể về những kỹ năng mềm mà sinh viên Trường Đại học Thể dục Thể thao Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh hiện có và những yêu cầu về kỹ năng mềm cần có của mỗi sinh viên để thành công hơn trong cuộc sống, học tập cũng như trong môi trường làm việc sau này. Đề xuất được 03 giải pháp góp phần phát triển công tác trang bị KNM cho SV trường ĐH TDTT TP.HCM bao gồm: Giải pháp dành cho Nhà trường: 3 nhóm giải pháp; Giải pháp dành cho GV: 2 nhóm giải pháp; Giải pháp dành cho SV: 2 nhóm; giúp sinh viên định hướng, nâng cao, tìm ra phương pháp học tập một cách khoa học, hiệu quả và phát triển các kỹ năng mềm cho bản thân mỗi sinh viên.
