5.2.2 Đầu tư đổi mới công nghệ:
Công nghệ là yếu tố cốt lõi cho thành công của hoạt động thanh toán thẻ tại ngân hàng, nếu công nghệ tốt sẽ đem lại sự thuận tiện, an toàn và nhanh chóng trong giao dịch với ngân hàng, thu hút đông đảo người sử dụng, nâng cao uy tín và năng lực cạnh tranh của ngân hàng và ngược lại. Vấn đề đổi mới công nghệ cần phải phối hợp chặt chẽ giữa Chi nhánh, Hội sở và các đối tác có liên quan, cụ thể như sau:
- Ứng dụng những thành tựu tiên tiến của công nghệ thẻ thế giới phù hợp với điều kiện về vốn, khả năng vận hành, quản lý của ngân hàng.
- Phát triển hệ thống kỹ thuật một cách đồng bộ bao gồm việc trang bị các thiết bị đọc thẻ, ATM phù hợp với loại thẻ từ đang được sử dụng rộng rãi cũng như loại thẻ chip sắp phát triển trong tương lai.
- Hợp tác với các bên có liên quan để hoàn thiện hệ thống xử lý số liệu, dự phòng để hạn chế rủi ro, giảm bớt trục trặc kỹ thuật và tình trạng nghẽn mạng.
