Tại buổi gặp mặt, ông Szijjarto Peter đã chúc mừng những thành quả phát triển kinh tế-xã hội của Việt Nam trong những năm qua và cho rằng đây là kết quả đáng tự hào của người dân Việt Nam. Ông bày tỏ: “Hungary mong muốn được hưởng lợi từ sự phát triển kinh tế mạnh mẽ của Việt Nam và tăng cường hợp tác với Việt Nam. Chúng tôi mong muốn quan hệ của Hungary và Việt Nam là trụ cột trong quan hệ giữa EU và ASEAN trong tương lai”
