Tính đến ngày 31/8/2007, số lũy tích được báo cáo là 132.628 các trường hợp nhiễm HIV, 26.828 trường hợp đã chuyển thành bệnh nhân AIDS và 15.007 ca tử vong do AIDS. Tỷ lệ nhiễm trung bình toàn quốc là 28,6%
