Nhiệm vụ của các đội chơi là tìm ra người bí ẩn trong một nhóm có năm người (có thể hơn 5 người trong vòng thi cuối cùng). Người bí ẩn là người trùng khớp với miêu tả của MC và có thể là người thật trong số những người giả hoặc người giả trong số những người thật. Các miêu tả thường gặp là về nghề nghiệp của người bí ẩn hoặc quê quán hoặc sở hữu của người đó với một vật thể. Hai đội chơi sẽ bị " tung hoả mù" khi cả năm người đều lần lượt dùng lời lẽ hoặc các bài biểu diễn theo yêu cầu để chứng minh mình là người bí ẩn. Đội đoán đúng người bí ẩn sẽ nhận một điểm. Sau 5 vòng thi nếu đội khách bằng hoặc hơn điểm đội nhà sẽ chiến thắng chung cuộc.
