Tuy vậy một số nghiên cứu khoa học lại cho thấy chỉ 25% số người thành công là có chỉ số IQ cao hơn trung bình. Nghĩa là chỉ số IQ không giải thích được sự thành công vượt trội của 75% số người còn lại. Kết quả nghiên cứu đã loại yếu tố về năng lực chuyên môn.
