B) Tiêu chuẩn đánh giá thành phố sinh thái ở Việt Nam.
- Tiêu chí quy hoạch thành phố sinh thái có thể khái quát trên các phương diện sau: kiến trúc công trình, sự đa dạng sinh học, giao thông công nghiệp và kinh tế đô thị.
- Về kiến trúc các công trình trong đô thị sinh thái phải đảm bảo khai thác tối đa các nguồn mặt trời, gió, nước để cung cấp năng lượng và đáp ứng nước nhu cầu người sử dụng. Thông thường là nhà cao tầng để dành mặt đất cho không gian xanh.
- Sự đa dạng sinh học phải được đảm bảo với các hành lang cư trú tự nhiên, nuôi dưỡng sự đa dạng sinh học và đem lại sự tiếp cận với thiên nhiên để nghỉ ngơi và giải trí.
- Giao thông và vận tải cần hạn chê bằng cách cung cấp lương thực và hàng hóa chủ yếu nằm trong phạm vi đô thị hoặc vung lân cận. Phần lớn dân cư đô thị sẽ sống và lam việc trong phạm vi bán kính đi bộ hoặc đi xe đạp để giảm thiểu nhu cầu di chuyển cơ giới. Sử dụng các phương tiện công cộng nối liền trung tâm để phục vụ nhu cầu di chuyển xa hơn của người dân.
- Công nghiệp của đô thị sinh thái sẽ sản xuất ra các sản phẩm hàng hóa có thể tái sử dụng, tái sản xuất và tái sinh. Các quy trình công nghiệp bao gồm cả tái sử dụng các sản phẩm phụ và giảm thiểu sự vận chuyển hàng hóa.
- Kinh tế là một nền kinh tế tập trung sức lao động thay vì tập trùn sử dụng nguyên liệu, năng lượng và nước, nhằm duy trì việc làm thường xuyên và giảm thiểu nguyên liệu sử dụng.
