Việc làm

Để hiểu rõ khái niệm và bản chất của việc làm ta phải liên hệ đến phạm trù lao động vì giữa chúng có mối quan hệ mật thiết với nhau.

Lao động trước hết là một hành động diễn ra giữa con người với giới tự nhiên, trong lao động con người đã vận dụng trí lực và thể lực cùng với công cụ tác động vào giới tự nhiên tạo ra sản phẩm phục vụ cho nhu cầu sinh hoạt, đời sống con người , lao động là một yếu tố tất yếu không thể thiếu được của con người , nó là hoạt động rất cần thiết và gắn chặt với lợi ích của con người. Con người không thể sống khi không có lao động .

Quá trình lao động đồng thời là quá trình sử dụng sức lao động, sức lao động là năng lực của con người nó bao gồm cả thể lực và trí lực , nó là yếu tố tích cực đóng vai trò trung tâm trong suốt quá trình lao động , là yếu tố khởi đầu, quyết định trong qúa trình sản xuất, sản phẩm hàng hoá có thể được ra đời hay không thì nó phải phụ thuộc vào quá trình sử dụng sức lao động .

Bản thân cá nhân mỗi con người trong nền sản xuất xã hội đều chiếm những vị trí nhất định, mỗi vị trí mà người lao động chiếm giữ trong hệ thống sản xuất xã hội với tư cách là một sự kết hợp của các yếu tố khác trong quá trình sản xuất được gọi là chỗ làm hay việc làm.

Như vậy việc làm là một phạm trù tồn tại khách quan trong nền sản xuất xã hội, phụ thuộc vào các điều kiện hiện có của nền sản xuất . Người lao động được coi là có việc làm khi chiếm giữ một vị trí nhất định trong hệ thống sản xuất của xã hội .Nhờ có việc làm mà người lao động mới thực hiện được quá trình lao động tạo ra sản phẩm cho xã hội ,cho bản thân.

Nhưng với khái niệm việc làm như trên thì chưa được coi là đầy đủ vì con người chỉ có thể tồn tại trong gia đình và xã hội, do đó việc làm được hiểu theo một cách hoàn chỉnh đó là ngoài phần người lao động tạo ra cho xã hội còn phải có phần cho bản thân và gia đình nhưng điều cốt yếu là việc làm đó phải được xã hội thừa nhận(được pháp luật thừa nhận).

Như vậy một hoạt động được coi là việc làm khi có những đặc điểm sau: đó là những công việc mà người lao động nhận được tiền công, đó là những công việc mà người lao động thu lợi nhuận cho bản thân và gia đình, hoạt động đó phải được pháp luật thừa nhận.

Tuỳ từng cách phân loại mà ta có các hình thức việc làm ở đây ta chỉ tiếp cận hai hình thức sau:

Việc làm chính: là công việc mà người thực hiện dành nhiều thời gian nhất hoặc có thu nhập cao hơn so với công việc khác.
Việc làm phụ:là công việc mà người thực hiện dành nhiều thời gian nhất sau công việc chính.
Với việc nghiên cứu đặc điểm, khái niệm và phân loại việc làm giúp cho ta hiểu rõ hơn về việc làm từ đó đưa ra những tiêu chí đánh giá một cách sâu hơn nhằm xác định được các mục tiêu và giải pháp trong việc lập kế hoạch việc làm.
