Mục đích của nghiên cứu này là bài học kinh nghiệm trong lĩnh vực thiết kế tường chắn có cốt có sử dụng vật liệu đĩa kỹ thuật itrong bối cảnh Việt Nam chưa có quy phạm về thiết loại tường chắn này nhằm ổn định mái dốc. Thông qua việc tính toán tại ba vị trí mặt cắt của dự án Mecure Son Tra, thuộc bán đảo Sơn Trà với dạng tường block và bó uốn . Các kết quả nghiên cứu cho giải pháp tường chắn có cốt rất phù hợp với khu vực bán đảo Sơn Trà bởi tính kinh tế và thẩm mỹ cao. Khi tính toán, thiết kế tường chắn có cốt MSE việc tính toán ổn định mái dốc thì dùng phương pháp nào, phần mềm nào để tính toán mái dốc sao cho chính xác nhất, đơn giản nhất, đảm bảo ổn định công trình, tiết kiệm chi phí xây dựng cũng cần được xem xét. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy với 3 mặt cắt thì hệ số an toàn FS theo 2 phần mềm tính toán Geoslope và Plaxis cho kết quả gần giống nhau, sai lệch nhỏ. Do tính đơn giản yêu cầu đầu vào ít nên phần mềm Geoslope được áp dụng rộng rãi hơn mặc dầu độ chính xác và hội tụ phụ thuộc vào chủ quan của người lập mô hình rất nhiều.
