3.2 Cách tiếp cận định tính
Cách tiếp cận định tính là sự tương phản của phương pháp nghiên cứu định lượng. Nghiên cứu định tính triển khai các nhận định tri thức, các chiến lược tìm hiểu, và các phương pháp thu thập và phân tích dữ liệu khác với nghiên cứu định lượng. Khác biệt ở chỗ với định lượng dùng con số để phân tích kết quả, cách tiếp cận định tính dựa vào dữ liệu bằng lời (chữ), hình ảnh, do đó, cách xử lý dữ liệu cũng đòi hỏi phương pháp riêng. Để nghiên cứu theo hướng định tính thì có các phương pháp thu thập dữ liệu như quan sát, phỏng vấn chuyên sâu, thảo luận nhóm… Trong luận văn này, phương pháp phỏng vấn được sử dụng để thu thập dữ liệu cho nghiên cứu định tính.
