Qua kinh nghiệm quy hoạch đô thị của Singapore, có thể thấy rằng quá trình đô thị hóa của Việt Nam hiện nay còn rất nhiều bất cập. Học hỏi kinh nghiệm của Singapore, những nhà làm công tác quy hoạch của Việt Nam cần phải có tầm nhìn chiến lược, dài hạn. Chúng ta cần khắc phục những quan niệm cũ, cần đổi mới tư duy trong công tác quy hoạch, phải công khai cho người dân biết để người dân cùng bàn bạc, cùng tham gia vào công tác quy hoạch. Nếu làm được như thế thì quá trình quy hoạch đô thị của chúng ta sẽ khắc phục được những nhược điểm hiện nay và trong tương lai không xa, các đô thị của Việt Nam sẽ sánh vai cùng các đô thị tiên tiến trên thế giới.

We need to fix the old conception, innovation needed thinking within planning, must publicly for people to know to the people consulted, involved in planning. If done so, the urban planning of the process we will overcome the current weaknesses and in the not so distant future, the municipality of Vietnam will match the same role as the town advanced in the world.
