Hiện tại, quần thể kiến trúc chùa Đông Đại gồm có Đại Phật điện, hai tòa tháp 7 tầng, một giảng đường và khu tịnh xá. Bên cạnh đó còn có nhiều công trình lịch sử khác, kể cả tòa điện Shoro (Kho báu Hoàng gia), nơi lưu trữ kho bảo vật của Thiên hoàng Shomu.

Liên Hoa điện hiện hữu trong quần thể kiến trúc chùa Đông Đại hiện tại là một công trình có tuổi thọ lâu đời nhất trong quần thể.
