The first immigrants to the United States because they flee
from their country because of the unfair treatment and most
are religious discrimination in their country. They seek
freedom and new opportunities. Today, many people
to the United States with the same reason.
Before becoming a separate and independent nation,
the United States is made up of 13 colonies were ruled by
the British Empire. People living in these properties
do not have a voice in local laws were
passed or how they were ruled. Especially they protest
against "taxation without representation". This
means that the people have to pay taxes, but they do not
have a say in how government operates.
By 1776, many people feel that this
is unfair and they will need to run it. Those
who represent the people of the colonies brought
out the Declaration of Independence. This important document
declared that the colonies were free, stand-
up and no longer be dominated by the British Empire as well.
Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. And then he became the
third president the United States.
The Declaration of Independence was approved on July 4, 1776. Human
Americans took the annual July 4th Independence Day by making it a national day of
inauguration of the country.
