Ðặc biệt, thị trường Việt Nam vẫn đang tiêu thụ mạnh dòng máy laptop lai máy tính bảng (ultrabook), Trao đổi với báo chí, ông Lý Quốc Dũng, Giám đốc ngành hàng laptop FPT Shop, cho biết người dùng bắt đầu có xu hướng chọn lựa thiết bị 2 trong 1, kết hợp giữa máy tính bảng và laptop. Các sản phẩm đang bán chạy trong xu hướng này có mức giá tầm trung, gồm Asus Transformer, HP Pavillon X2, hay Lenovo Thinkpad 10. Ngoài ra, các hãng còn đầu tư vào nhiều dòng sản phẩm trang bị màn hình từ 15 inch trở lên, độ phân giải cao, bộ vi xử lý Intel Core i7.

Riêng đối với Apple, dòng Macbook của hãng này vẫn có sức hấp dẫn riêng. Tháng 6.2015, FPT Shop ghi nhận sự đột phá về doanh thu đối với dòng máy tính xách tay mới của Apple là New Macbook 12 inch, khi lượng nhập về không đủ bán.
