Điều tra của Ban Thư ký Diễn đàn Doanh nghiệp Việt Nam thực hiện trên 234 doanh nghiệp trong và ngoài nước cũng cho thấy môi trường kinh doanh trong năm 2007 khả quan hơn năm ngoái. Nhận định này cũng tương đồng với Báo cáo Môi trường kinh doanh 2008 do Ngân hàng Thế giới và Tập đoàn Tài chính Quốc tế phát hành trong đó xếp hạng Mức độ thuận lợi về môi trường kinh doanh ở Việt Nam. Với những kỳ vọng lạc quan trong một vài năm tới, 90% số doanh nghiệp đang đầu tư tại Việt Nam cho biết đã có kế hoạch mở rộng kinh doanh tại Việt Nam. Triển vọng kinh tế thuận lợi, mở cửa thị trường và cải cách do Việt Nam gia nhập WTO và tăng trưởng của thị trường trong nước là những lý do chính khiến doanh nghiệp mở rộng kinh doanh ở Việt Nam. Đại diện cho cộng đồng doanh nghiệp Singapore, Australia- những đối tác thương mại lớn của Việt Nam, cũng bày tỏ sự tin tưởng vào sự tiến bộ của môi trường kinh doanh Việt Nam trong năm qua. Ông Paul Fairhead, Chủ tịch chi nhánh Hà Nội của Phòng thương mại Australia (AusCham) khẳng định rằng câu chuyện tích cực về sự tăng trưởng kinh tế mạnh mẽ của Việt Nam, cùng với môi trường chính trị ổn định, sự thành công trong giảm nghèo và cam kết hội nhập quốc tế là rất ấn tượng. Sự tăng trưởng mạnh và đáng kể của đầu tư nước ngoài vào Việt Nam trong 12 tháng qua thể hiện mối quan tâm rộng rãi vào tiềm năng của Việt Nam.
