Năm 2015 là một mốc quan trọng trong lộ trình hội nhập với việc Cộng đồng Kinh Tế chung ASEAN (AEC) ra đời. Gia nhập AEC là một bước tiến mạnh, tác động đến tất cả các tầng lớp nhân dân trong nước và trong khu vực. Việt Nam tham gia AEC đồng nghĩa với việc rào cản hải quan giữa các nước trong cộng đồng ASEAN được gỡ bõ. Tự do thương mại, dịch vụ được phát triển, nguồn lao động được tự do di chuyển…, đó là cơ hội nhưng cũng là thử thách lớn đối với các bạn sinh viên sau khi ra trường. Sinh viên, tầng lớp tri thức trẻ là những chủ nhân tương lai của đất nước, cần phải quan tâm và tìm hiểu nhiều hơn nữa về AEC để có thể chuẩn bị cho mình cái nhìn tổng quan và những hành trang cần thiết trong tương lai. Để có thể tự tin hội nhập, sinh viên cần ngoài những kỹ năng chuyên môn được học trên giảng đường thì cần phải biết tích lũy cho mình thật nhiều các kỹ năng cần thiết khác trong cuộc sống. Tiếng Anh và kỹ năng mềm là những yếu tố hết sức quan trọng để giúp các bạn sinh viên có thể thoải mái trao đổi, tiếp xúc được với các bạn bè trong khu vực, qua đó mở rộng mối quan hệ và tạo cho bản thân thêm cơ hội cạnh tranh việc làm sau khi ra trường. Việc đưa đất nước phát triển xứng tầm với các nước trong khu vực và trên thế giới phụ thuộc rất nhiều vào tầng lớp trẻ. Do đó, sinh viên cần biết chủ động tìm hiểu thông tin, có kế hoạch học tập và rèn luyện cụ thể. Không ngừng tìm tòi và học hỏi để nâng cao hiểu biết của bản thân. Xứng đáng là những người tiên phong trong công cuộc đổi mới.
