Một số công trình nghiên cứu đã nhận thức nhất quán tầm quan trọng và sự cần thiết của việc phát triển các vùng kinh tế trọng điểm ở Việt Nam. Các nghiên cứu trên cũng đã tập trung làm rõ được những vấn đề bất cập, những yếu kém trong phát triển vùng kinh tế trọng điểm của nước ta, chỉ ra những thách thức mới đối với yêu cầu PTBV các vùng KINH Tế TRọNG ĐIểM trong thời gian tới.
