Năm mới của người dân Myanmar được tổ chức theo phật lịch, tức vào giữa tháng 4 dương lịch. Vào dịp này, người Myanmar sẽ tổ chức lễ hội thi nhảy ếch và bưng nước chạy. Những người tham dự trò chơi phải nhảy theo tư thế của ếch hết đọan đường quy định.
