Phòng chống tai nạn thương tích là nhóm kỹ năng sống cực kỳ quan trọng cần trang bị cấp thiết cho học sinh. Đặc biệt là những vấn đề liên quan đến tình trạng đuối nước, kĩ năng thoát đuối và cứu đuối.
Liên tục những thông tin đau lòng về tình trạng học sinh đuối nước được cập nhật thời gian qua khiến lòng người nhức nhối. Tôi bỗng nhớ về một buổi truyền thông, tập huấn “khiêm tốn” mà ý nghĩa vừa được tổ chức ở trường và thầm ước nó sẽ được nhân rộng để những nỗi đau không thể kéo dài như thế.

Đầu tháng 8, trường tôi là một trong số ít trường học trên địa bàn thị xã Hương Trà (tỉnh Thừa Thiên - Huế) được lựa chọn để tổ chức buổi truyền thông về phòng chống tai nạn thương tích. Trong không gian nhỏ hẹp của phòng hội đồng, chỉ 60 học sinh được lựa chọn để tham gia trong tổng số gần 1.000 học sinh toàn trường. Khoảng 10 giáo viên và một vài phụ huynh được mời tham dự.

Có tham gia buổi tập huấn mới thật sự mở mang được nhiều tri thức cũng như trang bị, củng cố thêm những kĩ năng cần thiết trước hàng loạt tai nạn thương tích như té ngã, hỏa hoạn, đuối nước, điện giật, bỏng,… Tai nạn thương tích quả là có thể xảy ra bất cứ lúc nào, ở bất kỳ đâu, chỉ cần một chút xíu lơ là của người lớn và sự ham vui, tinh nghịch của tuổi trẻ là nỗi đau đều có thể ập đến, day dứt không nguôi.

Giá như tầm quan trọng của việc giáo dục kĩ năng sống, trong đó có kĩ năng phòng chống đuối nước được đặt ở một vị thế cao hơn.
