Chiến lược phát triển giáo dục giai đoạn 2011-2020 nhận được sự quan tâm góp ý của toàn xã hội.
Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo đã tổ chức nhiều hội thảo khoa học, lấy ý kiến đóng góp của các bộ, ngành, UBND các tỉnh, thành phố, các Sở Giáo dục và Đào tạo, các trường đại học, cao đẳng, nhiều tổ chức chính trị - xã hội, các nhà khoa học, nhà quản lí giáo dục. Nhiều phương tiện truyền thông đã liên tục đăng tải ý kiến của các nhà giáo, cán bộ quản lý và các tầng lớp nhân dân góp ý hoàn thiện dự thảo Chiến lược.
