Nghị quyết số 35 về hỗ trợ và phát triển doanh nghiệp, Chính phủ đã đặt mục tiêu tới năm 2020 cả nước có ít nhất 1 triệu doanh nghiệp hoạt động.
Ngày 22/11/2015: Tại Hội nghị thượng đỉnh ASEAN lần thứ 27, các nhà lãnh đạo ASEAN đã ký kết Tuyên bố Kuala Lumpur về việc thành lập AEC
Ngày 04 tháng 02 năm 2016, Bộ trưởng phụ trách thương mại của 12 nước tham gia Hiệp định Đối tác xuyên Thái Bình Dương (TPP)
