Tại buổi tọa đàm, các đại biểu đã đóng góp nhiều ý kiến và đưa ra một số giải pháp thiết thực, chia sẻ những kinh nghiệm quý báu liên quan đến công tác khoa học, công nghệ và những thành tựu, đóng góp của khoa học - công nghệ cho sự nghiệp công tác dân tộc trong thời gian qua. Các ý kiến xoay quanh thực trạng, các vấn đề đặt ra liên quan đến công tác đào tạo, nâng cao năng lực cho đồng bào DTTS; việc đổi mới tư duy, xóa bỏ các hủ tục lạc hậu; hỗ trợ đời sống đồng bào DTTS khu vực biên giới để nâng cao vai trò, trách nhiệm bảo vệ tổ quốc; điều chỉnh các mối quan hệ giữa DTTS và dân tộc đa số, giữa các DTTS với nhau; chú trọng đến việc tạo công ăn việc làm cho con em người DTTS; duy trì các chương trình, dự án đã được thực hiện có hiệu quả…
