Phụ trách lĩnh vực truyền tải điện của Tập đoàn Điện lực Việt Nam hiện nay là Tổng công ty Truyền tải điện quốc gia (NPT), được thành lập trên cơ sở tổ chức lại 4 công ty truyền tải (Công ty Truyền tải 1, 2, 3, 4) và 3 Ban quản lý dự án (Ban quản lý dự án các công trình điện miền Bắc, Trung, Nam).
