Vietnam's SO2 emissions in the future will further increase
air pollution has become an issue requiring urgent attention and resolution not only for industrialized countries but also for countries development as Vietnam. Vietnam although urban industrial and not at a high level in the world, but potentially high acid rain that is due to strong growth in the economy and is an industrialized country modernized, emissions from the operation industrial production, extraction and transportation of production facilities ... have rapidly increased emissions SO2, NO2, CO2 ... to the atmosphere. Therefore, the frequency of acid rain in Vietnam is increasing, this is an alarming thing today and another the borders of our country land and sea so great that air pollution is not there border, so the pollution happened in other countries, but also can affect to take Vietnam. In several recent studies, up to 30-50% of the sulfur deposition of air pollutants and acid rain in northern Vietnam originating from neighboring countries. In the large industrial cities such as Hanoi, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh, acid precipitation are higher than 2 to 3 times that of the ecological zones such as Ca Mau, district Phuong..O Cuc southern region, in the city of Can Tho, the frequency of acid rain in the ten-year average has risen to 58%, 57.9% in Tay Ninh. Concentration of sulphate (SO42-) and nitrate (NO3) in the city is quite high while the frequency of acid rain in the City for ten years is 41.1% lower than in Can Tho and Tay Ninh, two component calcium (Ca2 +) are more in the composition of dust and ammonium (NH4 +) from agricultural activities has neutralize the acidity of rain water, perhaps two elements neutralize acids in HCMC high should help reduce acid rain over with some other places than southern areas.
