Mô hình kinh doanh liên kết giữa bảo hiểm và ngân hàng(bancassurance)rất phổ biến trên thế giới nhưng ở Việt Nam mới chỉ xuất hiện vài năm gần đây. mô hình này tuy chưa thực sự phát triển ở Việt Nam nhưng bước đầu đã mang lại hiệu quả khả quan cho cả đôi bên. Trong bối cảnh gia tăng cạnh tranh ở lĩnh vực ngân hàng và bảo hiểm ngày càng khốc liệt nhất là trong bối cảnh khủng hoảng kinh tế như hiện nay thì cả ngân hàng và doanh nghiệp bảo hiểm sẽ phải tích cực tìm kiếm giải pháp hợp tác, liên kết nhằm phát huy các thế mạnh của cả hai bên, đồng thời mang lại nhiều giá trị gia tăng cho khách hàng… Với xu hướng đó nên bancassurance được rất nhiều các công ty bảo hiểm và ngân hàng lựa chọn và đẩy mạnh trong năm nay và những năm tiếp theo.
