 Hướng đến mục tiêu trở thành Nhà máy bia Xanh, giảm tiêu thụ năng lượng đã được xác định là nhiệm vụ lâu dài tại tất cả các nhà máy trực thuộc Công ty TNHH Nhà Máy Bia Việt Nam (VBL). Trong 03 năm qua, VBL đã giảm tiêu thụ năng lượng 12% và sẽ tiếp tục giảm thêm khoảng 15% (so với năm 2010) vào năm 2015. VBL cũng đang thực hiện kế hoạch giảm lượng nước tiêu thụ trong sản xuất bia, từ 3,6 lít nước cho ra 1 lít bia thành 2,5 lít nước cho ra 1 lít bia, theo tiêu chuẩn đẳng cấp của ngành công nghiệp sản xuất bia Châu Âu
