Tăng cường hợp tác tiểu vùng song Mê Kông mở rộng.
Bộ kế hoạch và Đầu tư vừa tổ chức diễn đàn hành lang kinh tế tiểu vùng Mê Kông mở rộng ( GM S) với sự tham gia của đại diện các nước gồm : Trung Quốc, Việt Nam, Lào, Campuchia, Thái Lan, Myanmar.
Thứ trưởng Bộ Kế hoạch và Đầu tư Nguyễn Chí Hùng cho biết, việc hợp tác giữa các nước thuộc khu vực GMS đã,đang thể hiện tầm quan trọng , gắn liền với mục tiêu phát triển nhanh, hài hòa, bền vững của từng quốc gia. Trên thực tế, các nước đang tiếp tục chủ động mở rộng và nâng cao sự hợp tác , theo hướng kịp thời và toàn diện hơn, nhắm tới mục đích chung. Trong thời gian tới, các bên sẽ tăng cường quan hệ kinh tế, thúc đẩy quá trình khai tác tiềm năng, nguồn lực của cả khu vực cũng như từng quốc gia thuộc GMS.
Một số chuyên gia nhận định, việc đẩy mạnh hợp tác trong GMS cần được quan tâm sâu sắc, có sự phối hợp và cơ chế giám sát chặt chẽ, thường xuyên từ tầm vĩ mô đến cấp địa phương cũng như giữa các ngành, lĩnh vực với nhau. Bên cạnh đó, các nước cũng cần rút kinh nghiệm , đề xuất những biện pháp phù hợp để tập trung vào việc thúc đẩy hoạt động vận tải qua biên giới ; xác định vai trò và nghiên cứu khả năng hợp tác phát triển khu kinh tế , khu , cụm công nghiệp vùng biên…
