Việc rèn luyện cho người học kỹ năng Nói hay kỹ năng giao tiếp được xem là mục tiêu cơ bản
trong tiến trình dạy học, trong đó người học đóng vai trò tích cực của
người tham dự vào thông tin được nghe, xử lý thông tin, hiểu và giải mã
được thông tin để cuối cùng phản hồi lại với thông tin đó, đúng như tiến
trình gồm bốn thao tác: cảm nhận - hiểu - đánh giá - phản hồi.
