Theo Quyền Nguyễn Lê (2002). Nghiên cứu được thực hiện trên cơ sở điều tra số liệu sản xuất của 120 nông hộ trồng cây mía tại huyện Tân Châu, tỉnh Tây Ninh, Vietnam. Tác giả đã ước lượng hàm sản xuất mía dưới dạng hàm Cobb – Douglas. Trong đó biến phụ thuộc là năng suất mía, chịu sự ảnh hưởng bởi các yếu tố như: Phân, phân Kali, Phân chuồng, thuốtc trừ cỏ, Vôi, số lần tham gia tập huấn khuyến nông, kích thức hàng cây.
