Lực lượng phi công khinh khí cầu gồm một người đến từ: Dai Loan, 6 người Thái Lan, một người Hà Lan, một người Ấn Độ, 2 người Việt Nam và một đội 15 người, được huấn luyện chuyên môn để phục vụ các hoạt động bay khinh khí cầu.

Ngoài ra, lễ hội còn có các chương trình ca nhạc tổ chức vào tối 2 và 3/9.

Mộc Châu chỉ cách Hà Nội khoảng 200 km theo hướng QL.6. Tết Độc lập 2/9 là một ngày lễ lớn ở đây, chỉ sau Tết Nguyên đán.
