Hiện nay, văn bản có giá trị pháp cao nhất quy định về KTNN là Luật
KTNN. Luật này được Quốc hội thông qua ngày 14/6/2005 và có hiệu lực thi
hành từ ngày 01/01/2006. Để cụ thể hóa một số quy định trong Luật KTNN,
Ủy ban thường vụ Quốc hội, Chính phủ, Thủ tướng Chính phủ, các bộ,
ngành liên quan và KTNN đã ban hành nhiều văn bản hướng dẫn thi hành
trên các lĩnh vực do Luật điều chỉnh. Trên cơ sở quy định của Luật KTNN
và các quy định của pháp luật, Tổng KTNN đã ban hành các văn bản QPPL
và văn bản quản lý theo thẩm quyền hướng dẫn thi hành Luật KTNN như:
Quyết định, Chỉ thị, Chuẩn mực kiểm toán, Quy trình kiểm toán, các Quy
chế, Quy định và quy tắc ứng xử của KTV nhà nước.

on State Audit. This law passed by the National Assembly on 14/6/2005 and takes effect
from 01/01/2006. To concretize a number of provisions in the Law on State Audit,
the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Government, the Prime Minister, ministries,
branches and SAV has issued many legal documents guiding the implementation of
the fields by Governing Law. On the basis of the State Audit Law
and the provisions of law, the General Audit issued legal documents
and document management competence to guide the implementation of the Law on State Audit as:
decision, directive, VSA accounting, audit process, the rules
, regulations and Code of conduct of the state auditors.
