Năm 2004, MB đã cung cấp dịch vụ thẻ ghi nợ Active Plus cho khách hàng, sản phẩm này có
các tính năng như thanh toán qua POS, giao dịch chuyển khoản qua ATM, bảo hiểm cá nhân cho
chủ thẻ. Ngân hàng đã kết nối thành công với hệ thống liên minh thẻ SmartLink, do vậy khách hàng
có thể thực hiện giao dịch tại bất cứ máy ATM nào trong liên minh thẻ. Hiện nay, MB đã chính thức
trở thành thành viên của Master. Dự án Visa Card: Phát hành và kết nối thanh toán trong nội bộ
thành công vào ngày 27/12/2010.
Tính đến 31/12/2010, MB đã phát hành tổng số 398.500 thẻ, số lượng POS đạt hơn 1.849 POS,
số lượng ATM toàn hệ thống đang hoạt động là 334 máy, đang triển khai phát hành thẻ tín dụng
quốc tế Visa Card, Master Card ... vào đầu năm 2011.
Hoạt động đầu tư: các hoạt động đầu tư chủ yếu của MB gồm: Đầu tư kinh doanh trên thị
trường vốn; Đầu tư tăng năng lực và phát triển hệ thống các công ty thành viên và Đầu tư phát
triển nguồn nhân lực, xây dựng trụ sở, nhà cửa vật kiến trúc, hệ thống hạ tầng và công nghệ cho
Ngân hàng.
