1. Đặc điểm thị trường lao động tại thành phố Hồ Chí Minh năm 2016 như sau:

+ Thị trường lao động 06 tháng đầu năm 2016: Nhu cầu tuyển dụng 06 tháng đầu năm 2016 tại thành phố tăng 2,53% so với cùng kỳ năm 2015. Có sự gia tăng về nhu cầu tuyển dụng lao động đã qua đào tạo, kinh nghiệm, trình độ và tính chuyên nghiệp luôn là sự quan tâm của doanh nghiệp khi tuyển dụng nhân sự.

Trong 06 tháng đầu năm 2016, nhu cầu lao động có kinh nghiệm chiếm khoảng 57,6% tập trung ở các nhóm nghề như: Kinh doanh – Bán hàng; Dịch vụ phục vụ; Dịch vụ du lịch – Nhà hàng – Khách sạn; Công nghệ thông tin; Dệt may – Giày da; Vận tải – Kho bãi - Xuất nhập khẩu; Kinh doanh tài sản - Bất động sản;…

Nhu cầu tìm việc của người lao động có kinh nghiệm chiếm 84,70% trong tổng số người tìm việc tập trung ở các nhóm ngành như: Kế toán - kiểm toán; Hành chính văn phòng; Kinh doanh – Bán hàng; Kiến trúc – Xây dựng; Kho bãi - Vận tải - Xuất nhập khẩu; Công nghệ thông tin; Marketing – Quan hệ công chúng; Cơ khí tự động – Tự động hoá;…

+ Thị trường lao động 06 tháng cuối năm 2016: Tình hình kinh tế - xã hội thành phố 06 cuối năm 2016 tiếp tục tăng trưởng ổn định, tăng trưởng GRDP của thành phố dự kiến cả năm 2016 ước đạt 8,0% (tính theo GDP thì tăng hơn 1,5 lần mức tăng trưởng GDP bình quân của cả nước), các chỉ số phát triển kinh tế đều đạt được kết quả tích cực. Thành phố tiếp tục có những chính sách hỗ trợ doanh nghiệp vừa và nhỏ tiếp cận về vốn – công nghệ, các hoạt động khởi nghiệp được quan tâm và kêu gọi đầu tư, khuyến khích khả năng sáng tạo và tự tạo việc làm đối với người trẻ. Trong thời gian qua, các hoạt động khởi nghiệp trên địa bàn thành phố được chú trọng, cùng với sự phát triển năng động của kinh tế thành phố Hồ Chí Minh nói riêng và cả nước nói chung, trong đó tập trung chủ yếu một số ngành, lĩnh vực kinh doanh nhiều tiềm năng như: buôn bán, bán lẻ, công nghiệp chế biến, chế tạo; xây dựng, bất động sản; khoa học, công nghệ; dịch vụ tư vấn, thiết kế, quảng cáo; vận tải kho bãi; dịch vụ lưu trú và ăn uống.
