Như vậy, qua phân tích hai mô hình chuyển đổi cơ cấu cây trồng và áp dụng các giống cây trồng mới cho thấy hiệu quả của các mô hình sản xuất mới cao hơn 2-3 lần so với phương thức sản xuất cũ. Tuy nhiên, việc chuyển đổi cơ cấu cây trồng trong các vàn cần lưu tâm tới giống cây trồng, mùa vụ và đặc biệt là thị trường tiêu thụ. Cần lựa chọn cây trồng sinh trưởng tốt, đến thị trường tiêu thụ để tang hiệu quả kinh tế của mô hình.
Sử dụng đất thành phố Hải Phòng
Thành phố Hải Phòng phân bố trên 11 loại thổ nhưỡng nằm trong 4 nhóm: nhóm đất cát, nhóm đất mặn, nhóm đất phèn và nhóm đất phù sa được bồi và không được bồi của các sông. Đất phù sa có diện tích 9.871ha, phân bố rải rác ở Vĩnh Bảo, Tiên Lãng, An Dương, Thủy Nguyên… trên địa hình thấp trũng, khó thoát nước, thích hợp với trồng lúa hai vụ. Đất phù sa có tầng loang lổ đỏ vàng có diện tích 4.546 ha, phân bố ở các huyện Vĩnh Bảo, An Lão,Thủy Nguyên trên địa hình vàn cao thích hợp trồng 2 vụ lúa hoặc màu vụ chiêm và lúa vụ mùa;
- Vàn đất phèn: Đất phèn có diện tích 5.507 ha, phân bố tập trung ở Kiến Thụy, Hải An nơi có địa hình thấp trũng, khó thoát nước, thích hợp cho trồng lúa năng suất cao. Đất phèn mặn có diện tích 24.688 ha, phân bố ở tất cả các huyện trên địa hình thấp, trũng tiếp giáp với nước biển hoặc sông nước lợ, nước mặn, đất thích hợp cho việc trồng lúa, năng suất khá cao nhưng cần nâng cấp các công trình để chủ động cấp nước tưới và bón phân nhiều vôi để cái tạo đất;
- Vàn đất mặn: Đất mặn nhiều có diện tích 4.031 ha, phân bố ỏ địa hình thấp thuộc các huyện Tiên Lãng, Thụy Nguyên và quận Đồ Sơn, thích hợp để nuôi trồng thủy sản hoặc cải tạo để trồng lúa. Đất mặn trung bình và mặn ít có diện tích 10.879 ha phân bố tập trung ở các huyện Vĩnh bảo, Tiêm Lãng, Kiến Thụy, Thủy Nguyên, chủ yếu thích hợp với trồng lúa hoặc màu ở vàn cao, đối với vàn thấp cần hoàn thiện các công trình ngăn nhiễm mặn và nguồn nước để rửa mặn.
