- Phải nâng cao chất lượng thu thập và xử lý thông tin: Các thông tin phải được kiểm tra tính chính xác kỹ càng trước khi phân tích. Muốn vậy thông tin phải được lấy từ nhiều nguồn khác nhau để so sánh đối chiếu. Hiện nay các nguồn thông tin có thể thu thập là từ khách hàng vay, từ hồ sơ lưu trữ của ngân hàng, từ trung tâm thông tin của Ngân hàng Nhà nước hoặc …vv. Thông tin có thể thu thập từ nhiều nguồn khác nhau, nhưng có thể thu thập lượng thông tin nhiều, nhanh với tốc độ cao thì ngân hàng phải thu thập thông tin một cách thường xuyên. Đồng thời việc thu thập, phân loại, lưu trữ thông tin cần có một bộ phận riêng biệt đảm bảo trách nhiệm trong ngân hàng để thông tin có thể được nhanh chóng cung cấp khi cần
