Theo ý kiến của tôi, việc cấp bách hiện nay mà người dân Đông Nam Á phải đối mặt đó là vấn đề về khí hậu và môi trường. Việc biến đổi khí hậu, nắng nóng, bão nhiều hơn và mạnh hơn, hạn hán, nước biển dâng đã v.v..., đã, đang và sẽ ảnh hưởng rất nhiều đến cuộc sống của hàng triệu người dân Đông Nam Á. Chúng ta có thể thấy rõ hậu quả của biến đổi khí hậu, bão nhiều hơn và cường độ mạnh hơn liên tiếp đổ vào khu vực Đông Nam Á khiến cho các nước bị thiệt hại nặng nề về tính mạng của người dân và cơ sở hạ tầng. Nước biển dâng lên sẽ ảnh hưởng trực tiếp đến các nước Đông Nam Á, một khu vực mà đa số các nước đều giáp biển mà trong đó có lẽ Việt Nam và Philippin là các nước chịu ảnh hưởng nặng nề nhất của việc nước biển dâng. Môi trường sống cũng bị ô nhiễm nặng nề, vấn đề rác thải, thiếu nước sinh hoạt, không khí bị ô nhiễm v.v...Đó là những điều cấp bách nhất mà tôi nghĩ người dân khu vực Đông Nam Á đang phải đối mặt. Chính phủ các nước Đông Nam Á nên có giải pháp và hành động ngay vì môi trường, nên có các chính sách để phát triển bền vững, cùng nhau hành động để môi trường sống của người dân trong khu vực được cải thiện. Quan tâm đến vấn đề vệ sinh môi trường, nước sạch. Phát triển đi đôi với bảo vệ và bền vững. Chính phủ các nước phải có các chính sách cụ thể và cùng nhau hành động ngay chứ không chỉ là các cuộc họp và đưa ra những tuyên bố rồi để đó hay hành động cầm chừng. Người dân Đông Nam Á hy vọng môi trường sống sẽ sớm được cải thiện và có thể nhìn thấy những nỗ lực của các chính phủ để góp phần chống biến đổi khí hậu toàn cầu.
