Tôi lớn lên trong một đất nước không có núi lửa, vì vậy tôi chưa từng chứng kiến sự kiện đáng sợ nào về nó ngoài cuộc sống thật. Tất cả kiến thức của tôi về núi lửa chỉ lấy từ phim ảnh. Bộ phim núi lửa đáng sợ nhất tôi từng xem nói về một ngày dung nham tuôn trào và ngôi làng sống dưới chân núi lửa. Tôi không nhớ ngọn núi lửa đó ở đâu nhưng tôi không bao giờ quên được sự kiện đáng sợ xảy ra với ngôi làng. Đó là một ngôi làng rất trù phú, thời tiết ôn hòa và được bao quanh bởi một dòng sông. Người dân sống dưới chân một ngọn núi xinh đẹp nhưng họ lại không biết mối hiểm họa giấu sâu trong nó. Vào một ngày nọ, người dân vẫn lao động và sinh hoạt như mọi ngày thì bỗng nghe một tiếng nổ lớn. Mọi người rất ngạc nhiên, và không hiểu chuyện gì đang diễn ra. Bỗng nhiên mặt đất rung chuyển, thêm một vụ nổ lớn hơn nữa. Dòng dung nham tuôn trào từ núi lửa chảy mạnh xuống chân núi.Một người phụ nữ chỉ tay lên hướng ngọn núi và hét : "Núi lửa!", người dân bắt đầu chạy tán loạn. Cha mẹ hoảng hốt đi tìm con, những đứa trẻ gào thét, một vài người chạy đi lấy của cải có giá trị. Dòng dung nham đỏ nóng khủng khiếp tràn vào như con quái vật đang ăn tươi nuốt sống ngôi làng. Làng mạc, nhà cửa, vật nuôi bị thiêu trụi, vài người xấu số cũng đi theo dòng dung nham ấy.Từ một ngôi làng bình yên trở thành nơi bị vùi lấp trong tro tàn, dòng sông chỉ còn là đá sỏi nóng, tiếng khóc đau thương không ngừng phát ra. Núi lửa là mối hiểm họa vô cùng đe dọa tới mạng sống của vô số người. Cảnh tượng kinh hoàng ấy đã ám ảnh tôi đến bây giờ và có thể mãi về sau.
