Đất nước ta đang ngày một phát triển . Con người đang dần hoàn thiện bản thân để phát triển theo kịp với thời đại. Nhưng lại có một số thành phần nhỏ lại phát triển theo hướng tích cực. Vấn đề mà mọi người và xã hội đang quan tâm và cần giải quyết triệt để đó là nạn quấy rối tình dục nơi làm việc. Chính vì lẽ đó mà những công nhân viên đang phải suy nghĩ và cần được giúp đỡ từ pháp luật .
Ở Việt Nam, cho đến nay chưa có số liệu thống kê và các con số chính thức về quấy rối tình dục, cũng như chưa có các phương tiện thông tin đại chúng cho thấy quấy rối tình dục tại nơi làm việc đang phổ biến và hầu hết nạn nhân của quấy rối tình dục là nữ. Vì ngượng ngùng và lo ngại mất việc làm nên rất nhiều nạn nhân đã giữ im lặng. Một số nạn nhân được khuyến khích đã cố gắng đứng ra tố cáo, nhưng không rõ làm thế nào để khiếu nại. Quấy rối tình dục là một hình thức bạo lực trên cơ sở giới và được coi là chủ đề nhạy cảm và cấm kỵ trong xã hội Việt Nam. Tuy nhiên, trên thực tế, quấy rối tình dục tại nơi làm việc là vi phạm tự do, phẩm giá và các quyền cơ bản của người lao động, cả lao động nưc và nam, vì vậy họ cần được pháp luật bảo vệ. Về mặt kinh tế, năng suất của các doanh nghiệp bị sụt giảm vì quấy rối tình dục làm suy yếu nền móng mà dựa vào đó các mối quan hệ lao động được vun đắp.

Sexual harassment is a form of gender-based violence and sensitive topics considered taboo in society and Vietnam. However, in fact, sexual harassment in the workplace is in violation of the freedom, dignity and the fundamental rights of workers, both male and nưc labor, so they should be protected by law. Economically, the productivity of enterprises were plummeting because of sexual harassment undermine the foundations that rely on that labor relationships are nurtured.
