Chủ tịch Ủy ban Trung ương MTTQ Việt Nam Nguyễn Thiện Nhân cho biết như trên tại lễ ký kết chương trình phối hợp công tác giữa Ban Thường trực Ủy ban Trung ương MTTQ Việt Nam với BHXH Việt Nam về việc thực hiện chính sách, pháp luật về BHXH, BHYT giai đoạn 2016-2020 tổ chức ngày 11-12 tại Hà Nội.

“BHXH, BHYT là hai trụ cột an sinh nước nhà. Đến hôm nay tỉ lệ đóng BHYT là 74%, trong đó hơn một nửa là do Nhà nước đảm bảo cho người nghèo và cận nghèo. Đây là thành tựu rất quan trọng mà Đảng và Nhà nước đã làm được trong nhiều năm qua, nay chúng ta phải duy trì và phát huy thật tốt” - Chủ tịch Nguyễn Thiện Nhân nhấn mạnh.
