Bức tượng sư tử biển Singapore mang hình dáng của một con thú đầu sư tử và đuôi cá. Ban đầu, khi mới được đặt vào công viên Merlion, tượng được đặt bên cạnh cầu Esplanade. Nhưng đến khi có thêm bức tượng theo phiên bản nhỏ hơn thì cả hai bức tượng đều được di chuyển đến địa điểm mới cách đó 120m.
