Cách đây không lâu có một cậu bé chăn cừu rất xấu tính. Một hôm, cậu cảm thấy buồn rầu.Nhìn những con cừu của làng cậu chợt nghĩ ra một cách. Cậu hít một hơi thật sâu rồi hét lên:
Sói! Sói! có sói đang tấn công cừu!
Nghe thấy, dân làng chạy ngay đến để giúp cậu bé đuổi sói. Nhưng khi họ đến nơi thì không thấy một con sói nào hết. Cậu bé nhìn những khuôn mặt ngạc nhiên của dân làng và cười lớn.
Người dân liền bảo với cậu rằng "Này nhóc, đừng la thế khi không có sói". Rồi họ tức giận bỏ đi.
Hôm sau cậu bé lại la toáng lên “Sói! Sói! Có sói đang tấn công cừu của cháu!” Với tính nghịch ngợm của mình, cậu lại cười phá lên khi thấy người dân chạy đến để giúp cậu đuổi sói.
Nhưng khi người dân không thấy chó sói đâu, họ tức giận và nói với cậu bé :cậu ko nên nói như vậy!
Nhưng cậu lại nhe răng cười họ.Họ lại tức giận quay về.
Khi mọi người về thì cậu bé nhìn thấy một con sói rất đáng sợ đang chuẩn bị ăn thịt đàn cừa của cậu. Rất hoảng sợ, cậu chạy và hét lên : Sói, sói. Nhưng không ai chạy đến vì nghĩ rằng cậu lại lừa mình.
Hoàng hôn xuống, mọi người tự hỏi tại sao vẫn chưa thấy cậu bé và đàn cừu trở về. Họ liền lên núi tìm cậu bé và họ thấy cậu đang ngồi vừa khóc vừa nói :
“ Vừa nãy có một con sói ở đây! Bầy cừu của cháu đã chạy toán loạn lên cả rồi ! Cháu đã hô có Sói đến!Tại sao các bác không tới giúp?"
Các bác nông dân an ủi và nói:“ Không ai tin những kẻ nói dối dù họ đang nói thật đâu cháu ạ. Từ giờ trở đi, cháu sẽ không nói dối nữa chứ?”
Cậu bé trả lời :“ Từ giờ cháu sẽ không nói dối nữa đâu ạ ! ”
Khi trở về làng, mọi người đi tìm những con cừu cùng cậu bé và từ đó cậu không bao giờ nói dối nữa !

Khi chúng ta làm sai một việc gì đó, hiển nhiên chúng ta sẽ bị phạt. Một kẻ nói dối sẽ không phải là người xấu nếu người đó biết sửa sai thì hãy cho người đó một cơ hội để sửa sai, đừng ép buộc người đó .
