Currently, the map/BTTM Bureau has studied and mastered the terrain simulation technology (Skyline, TerraVista...) to solve the actual problem from the application of geographic information system in 3D (GIS3D) to the construction of topographic data for simulation applications.
With the digital map data, satellite imagery and digital elevation models in full in the ratio, ordnance survey has established the Ministry of simulated 3D terrain map of the whole country in the ratio from 1/1/25,000 to 1,000,000. 3D terrain data could show on the GIS3D software like Skyline, ArcGlobe ... or these standard formats (. flt, ...) for the application of the simulation exercises and training service as well as other civic activities.
