Sản lượng điện sau khi trừ đi tổn thất được được xem là sản lượng điện P50 (xác suất đạt được sản lượng điện theo kỳ vọng là 50%) do kết quả quan trắc gió chỉ đo trong thời gian ngắn 1÷3 năm, không thể đại diện chính xác cho toàn bộ đời sống của dự án là 20 năm. Vì vậy cần xem các yếu tố bất định ảnh hưởng đến sản lượng điện trong toàn bộ đời sống dự án, các yếu tố bất định bao gồm:
Bất định từ dữ liệu gió (thiết bị đo, thời gian đo, mô hình gió…)
Bất định từ sự biến đổi của gió theo các năm
Bất định từ việc dự đoán tổn thất điện.
Tham khảo một số dự án phong điện tại Việt Nam và qua tính toán, giá trị bất định trong thời gian 20 năm được chọn là 8% để tính toán sản lượng điện P75 (xác suất đạt được sản lượng điện theo kỳ vọng là 75%) và P90 (xác suất đạt được sản lượng điện theo kỳ vọng là 90%) theo công thức sau:
P75 = P50 – 0,67x8%xP50 P90 = P50 – 1,28x8%xP50
Dựa trên giá trị tổn thất và giá trị bất định trên, kết quả tính toán sản lượng điện năng theo các giai đoạn như sau:
