Quân đội Mỹ vừa ra tuyên bố cáo buộc một tàu chiến Nga hùng hổ áp sát một tàu của hải quân Mỹ ở đông Địa Trung Hải. Đây là vụ việc thứ hai trong vài tuần qua.
Reuters đưa tin, Bộ chỉ huy châu Âu của Mỹ (EUCOM) hôm 2/7 cho hay, tàu Yaroslav Mudry của Nga đã tiến gần một cách không cần thiết tàu tuần dương có tên lửa định hướng USS San Jacinton của Mỹ hôm 30/6. Trong thông báo, EUCOM cho biết, tàu Mỹ không bị đe dọa và vẫn duy trì tốc độ cũng như hải trình. "Tuy nhiên, việc tàu Yaroslav Mudry tiến gần tàu Mỹ trước khi quay đi được coi là gây nguy cơ cao, không chuyên nghiệp và đi ngược với với các quy định hàng hải quốc tế".
EUCOM cũng cho hay: "Những hành động như vậy làm leo thang căng thẳng không cần thiết giữa hai nước và có thể gây hiểu lầm hoặc gây tai nạn".
