Kết quả đo nồng độ sợi amiăng bên trong các phòng các tòa nhà công cộng cho thấy có tới 38% số mẫu không phát hiện được sợi amiăng. Trong các mẫu có sợi nồng độ dưới 0,004 sợi/ml, thấp hơn nồng độ cho phép tới một ký tự. Như vậy kết quả khảo sát môi trường sinh thái để đánh giá sự phát tán sợi amiăng từ các vật liệu chứa amiăng- xi măng khi thực hiện công tác thi công cũng như trong thời gian khai thác sử dụng các cấu kiện và vật liệu có chứa amiăng- xi măng cho thấy chúng không phải là nguồn phát tán đáng kể các sợi amiăng vào môi trường không khí, và không khí trong các tòa nhà dân dụng.
