Để giúp trẻ có tình yêu thương với động vật, cô giáo không nói “các em phải biết yêu thương động vật”, mà họ cho các bé tự nuôi và chăm sóc một loại động vật như: gà, chuột lang, thỏ, rùa, thậm chí là cả giun đất… mỗi một nhóm từ 4 – 5 em sẽ chăm sóc một con.

Qua quá trình này các bé chăm sóc thú cưng của mình, chơi đùa, trò chuyện, cho ăn, dọn chuồng… đặc biệt những khi thú bị ốm, tình cảm của các bé với các loài động vật sẽ dần được hình thành. Sau đó, cô giáo chỉ cần nói rất ít về tình yêu thương động vật mà trẻ vẫn hiểu được một cách sâu sắc.
