Môn Tiếng Anh được đưa vào muộn hơn

Môn Tiếng Anh được đưa vào muộn hơn so với các môn học khác ở nhà trường nhưng nó là chìa khóa mở ra kho tri thức của nhân loại. Đặc trưng cơ bản của phương pháp dạy học ngoại ngữ mới hiện nay là hoạt động tự lập, tích cực, chủ động của học sinh trong việc giải quyết các nhiệm vụ giao tiếp bằng ngoại ngữ. Và gần đây nhất, Bộ GD & ĐT đã có những yêu cầu cụ thể về việc dạy học bám sát chuẩn kiến thức, kĩ năng: “Sáng tạo về phương pháp dạy học phát huy tính chủ động, tích cực, tự giác học tập của học sinh. Chú trọng rèn luyện phương pháp tư duy, năng lực tự học, tự nghiên cứu; tạo niềm vui, hứng khởi, nhu cầu hành động và thái độ tự tin trong học tập cho học sinh...”. Vì vậy Game (trò chơi) là một phần không thể thiếu đối với các lớp học ngoại ngữ. Game không chỉ giúp giải tỏa căng thẳng, tăng cường hứng thú học cho học sinh mà nếu giáo viên lựa chọn game phù hợp, chúng còn là một công cụ đắc lực giúp giáo viên thực hiện thành công các mục tiêu bài học.
