Ngành chế biến và xuất khẩu thủy sản đã và đang là ngành kinh tế mũi nhọn của nước ta nhiều năm trở lại đây. Nó đã tạo ra việc làm cho một lực lượng lớn người lao động. Nhưng với cơ sở sản xuất và trang thiết bị máy móc còn lạc hậu, chủ doanh nghiệp chưa thực sự quan tâm đến các vấn đề môi trường nên hiện trạng môi trường ở trong và xung quanh các nhà máy càng trở nên trầm trọng gây tổn thất nguyên liệu và hóa chất để xử lý. Chính vì vậy việc nghiên cứu áp dụng SXSH trong các nhà máy chế biến thủy sản là rất cần thiết bởi nó không chỉ giúp các doanh nghiệp cắt giảm được chi phí sản xuất mà còn mang lại các lợi ích về môi trường.
Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu nhằm đánh giá hiện trạng sản xuất, hiện trạng môi trường qua các số liệu thống kê về sản lượng sản xuất, sản lượng điện, nước tiêu thụ trong năm 2014 và hiện trạng áp dụng SXSH tại Công ty Cổ Phần Thủy Đặc Sản-VN qua đó đề xuất các giải pháp SXSH khả thi cho công ty. Cơ hội SXSH tại công ty được xác định dựa vào phương pháp luận SXSH gồm 6 bước và 18 nhiệm vụ.
Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy hiện trạng áp dụng SXSH tại công ty đã đạt được những kết quả đáng khích lệ về tiết kiệm năng lượng, hiện trạng môi trường được cải thiện đáng kể giảm được lượng chất thải và tiết kiệm được chi phí để xử lý môi trường. Sản phẩm của công ty đáp ứng được các yêu cầu khắc khe của thị trường lớn làm tăng lợi nhuận về kinh tế của công ty. Tuy nhiên công ty cũng đối mặt với những khó khăn cần khắc phục như việc quản lý điều hành còn gặp nhiều khó khăn, ý thức tiết kiệm năng lượng của công nhân chưa cao, năng lực lỹ thuật còn hạn chế,..
Đề tài cũng đã đề xuất được 21 giải pháp áp dụng SXSH cho công ty và sinh viên khẳng định công ty có nhiều cơ hội tiết kiệm với thời gian thu hồi ngắn. Công ty cần thực hiện ngay các cơ hội không tốn chi phí hoặc chi phí thấp như:
- Quản lý nội vi, nâng cao tay nghề và ý thức tiết kiệm cho công nhân.
