Cuộc sống của chúng ta ngày càng phát triển không ngừng nghĩ với những tiến bộ khoa học kỹ thuật vượt bậc. Chính vì chúng ta cần phải rèn luyện cho học sinh các kỷ năng nghe nói đọc viết một cách có hiệu quả để các em có thể bắt kịp nhịp phát triển của xã hội hiện tại và mai sau. Hơn thế nửa nhằm tạo cho HS một sân chơi bổ ích, giúp các em được giao lưu học hỏi, tự tin mạnh dạn khi giao tiếp bằng tiếng Anh; khơi dậy trong học sinh niềm đam mê và sự hứng thú đối với môn học; cũng là góp phần thúc đẩy đổi mới hình thức tổ chức và phương pháp dạy học, đổi mới hình thức và phương pháp đánh giá kết quả học tập, phát triển năng lực học sinh, nâng cao chất lượng dạy học tiếng Anh trong nhà trường THCS như hiện nay. Đó chính là lý do của Hội Thi ngày hôm nay
